Heading Accuracy

Heading measurements derived from the device magnetometer are typically accurate to ±1-30° degrees depending on the device model, calibration status and presence of any nearby ferrous metals or electromagnetic fields. They can be used for rough direction finding but a conventional compass should be used for accurately following a bearing.
